2020 Was Not That Fun!

Hi, my name is Alex Telson and I am a wedding florist.

Over the past year I realized that 2020 was not that fun! UGH…that is just putting it lightly. The world went through a pandemic, people lost their loved ones, they lost their jobs, and everything was canceled, including weddings. To be honest, I also went through a bit of a depression. It’s hard not to when you are stressed out about money, nervous about the future and trying to keep it together for your family. But the silver lining within this year is, my husband and I have never been closer. We have built on our communication and have prospered. I got to spend so much more time with my daughters who are getting bigger every day. Staying at home with my girls and being able to give them hugs and kisses in the middle of the day has been wonderful and I cherish every snuggle with them. Even though the Covid cases have been rising in our community, we have stayed safe and healthy. It’s the little things in life that have truly mattered to us.

With 2020 coming to an end, I am looking towards 2021 with a clear prospective. I am determined to do better, to be better and to understand more.

After some careful thinking, I want to start the 2021 off with a few New Year’s Resolutions:

  1. To answer as many questions as I can that my client or even potential clients might ask.

  2. To calm all the fears and anxiety that my clients might have, from how to keep within their budget to which flowers are in season.

  3. To give guidance to my clients in the matter of everything weddings. I realize that this is their first time planning a wedding and they might need a little hand holding and that is ok. My job is to make sure that they are comfortable in their decision.

So in conclusion, even though 2020 was not that fun, I am determined to make 2021 better! Happy New Year everyone and I wish you all a magical and healthy 2021!
